Research Areas

Child and Youth Mental Health

We are engaging in youth mental health research to prevent the onset of anxiety, depression, and psychological distress. By focusing on early detection while delivering evidence-based programs and digital interventions to young people, we are slowing the onset and burden of mental illness for future generations.

Treatments and Models of Care

We test new treatments and establish an evidence base for treatment models. The ability to adapt and be reactive to emerging treatments for mental health conditions is changing the care for diverse groups of people

Lived Experiences

Ensuring the voices of people with lived experiences

Youth Support Network Trust recognizes the significance and value of ensuring its work is informed by the specialized and experience-based knowledge of people who have lived experience of mental health difficulties or suicide.Involving people with lived experience helps the organization build understanding, reduce stigma and discrimination, and improve the quality, relevance, and knowledge translation of our research. It also gives individuals the opportunity to contribute to the community in a meaningful way.

Want to get involved?

There are a broad range of ways that people with lived experience can play an active role in the organization's team, with new opportunities emerging every day.

From getting involved in a one-off participation activity to ongoing commitments such as being a Lived Experiences Community Supporter or as a member of a Research Advisory Group, we want to work with you to find the right fit

Youth Support Network Trust's Lived Experiences Advisory Board guides our research projects by evaluating strategies for implementing evidence-based treatments with the greatest promise for healing the mental illness of children, teens, and young adults.

RESEARCH

Youth Support Network Trust is bridging the gap between research and access to care for children, teens, and youths struggling with their mental health. We do this by innovating and implementing evidence-based interventions, empowering young people to discover their own mental health solutions.
